Feeding application

Blueprint® Starter 2 is a high-quality 14% protein pelleted feed to be fed at up to 2% of body weight. Ideal for calves on pasture before and after weaning for up to 28 days when calves enter the feed yard.

Product features

Electrolyte Balance: Contains high levels of electrolytes, especially potassium, to aid in rehydration.

Trace Mineral Fortification: Fully fortified with Bioplex® and Sel-Plex® organic trace minerals, including zinc, copper, manganese, cobalt and selenium to support disease resistance.

Yeast Culture: Yeast culture is added to enhance rumen microbial growth and stabilize the rumen
environment.

Choice of Additives: Blueprint® Starters are available with approved feed additives. Proper use of
additives can improve animal performance; refer to the product tag for specific claim.

Feeding instructions

Feedlot Receiving: Incoming cattle should be offered good quality hay free choice until they have eaten to capacity. On the second day after cattle have arrived at the feedlot introduce Blueprint® Starter 2 at 1% of body weight along with free choice hay. By day 3 after arrival offer Blueprint® Starter 2 at approximately 2% of body weight along with grain and roughage or offer Blueprint® Starter 2 as the sole ration. Frequent feeding is recommended to promote maximum intake in stressed animals. Weaning: Offer Blueprint® Starter 2 free choice along with roughage to nursing calves for up to 30 days before weaning. Provide clean fresh water at all times.

CAUTION: This product, which contains added copper, should not be fed to sheep or related species that have a low tolerance to copper. Follow label directions. Adding higher-than-recommended levels of this premix containing added selenium is not permitted. Hubbard does not use “Restricted-use Proteins” in their products and is in compliance with FDA and state requirements regarding the use, handling and storage of “Restricted-use Protein” products.
